I photographed this cougar at the Nashville Zoo. She was one of the few animals who ventured out in the sun for us to photograph. When I had my photo enlarged at the local Kinko’s I was pleasantly surprised by all the color I found in the copy. I thought I would use these colors as the undercoat of my cougar. However, I loved it as the final coat. I think the color on her fur is an afterthought as you are captured by the piercing eyes before you see the color.
